Mountains to Mountains
On Thursday September 6, Appalachian State University put together a presentation called Mountains to Mountains about a trip that took place in Nepal following the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that truly devastated the country. The earthquake took place on April 25 of 2015. When it struck, it left damages that would take years upon years to fix. Nearly 9000 people lost their lives to this atrocity. The unfortunate part about this is Nepal is not a very wealthy country and was already having economic issues. Once they earthquake hit it left the country in even more shock with questions how they could possibly rebuild after this natural disaster. This is where the organization Wine to Water came into play. Wine to Water is an organization founded by Doc Hendley who's purpose is to stop the world water crisis.
